Freeport is conveniently located approximately 55 miles east from George Bush Intercontinental Airport and 50 miles northeast of Hobby P. William International Airport.
Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport
Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport is located 12 miles north of Freeport in Angleton. Today we continue to grow as the aviation gateway to Brazoria and Harris County. A Part 139 certificated reliever field offering a newly renovated concrete runway of 7,000 feet grooved cement and situated on 635 acres, we provide enhanced general aviation services to the community as well as our private and corporate visitors.
The airport is open to the public 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. with a 3,800 by 75 foot hard surface runway that is equipped with lights, instrument approaches, hangar rental and 24-hour self-serve AV gas.

Port Access
One of the Most Accessible Ports in Texas by Land and by Sea
Located in Brazoria County, Texas, Port Freeport is an independent governmental body authorized by an act of the Texas Legislature in 1925. The Port is governed by a board of six commissioners that each serve six-year staggered terms.
The Commissioners are elected by the districts' voters, and our district encompasses 85% of Brazoria County. Port Freeport is located approximately 60 miles south of Houston, Texas and is accessible via State Highway 36, and Highway 288.

Union Pacific is main service through the Freeport area, resulting in an excellent location for north, south, east, and west transport. In Freeport lies the Port Freeport, which has a Foreign Trade Zone designation, with a 288 acre plus rail yard served by Union Pacific.
