Business Improvement Grant - The Wash

Congratulations to The Wash Freeport!

The Freeport Economic Development Corporation is proud to recognize The Wash Freeport as a recipient of the Business Improvement Grant Program. 

Under new ownership, The Wash Freeport is investing more than $385,000 to replace equipment and revitalize the facility at 1331 N. Avenue I. Through the Business Improvement Grant Program, the Freeport EDC approved a $10,000 reimbursement to assist with eligible improvements, supporting a much larger private investment in our community.

This project represents more than building improvements. It brings new ownership, new investment, and new employment opportunities to Freeport while returning a previously vacant business to active use.

The Wash Freeport will also work in partnership with Premiere Laundry to provide expanded services to customers. In addition, space is available within the facility for future businesses. Entrepreneurs interested in leasing space, such as a dry-cleaning operation or other complementary services, are encouraged to contact Mr. Gutzman for more information.

The Business Improvement Grant Program is designed to encourage private investment throughout Freeport by partnering with local businesses that are investing in their own properties. Every project represents a shared commitment to strengthening our community and supporting long-term economic growth.
